Manufacturing Facility

GEN Manufacturing Facility is located approximately 37 km from Ankara, within the ASO 2nd and 3rd Organized Industrial Zones. It covers an area of approximately 43,000 m² with a 15,000 m² enclosed space. The facility, which became operational in 2017, complies with cGMP, GSP, GDP, and GLP standards and has been inspected and certified by the health authorities of Europe (EMA), Türkiye, Russia, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, and Azerbaijan. In June 2024, it also underwent an FDA inspection.

Production Capacity

The facility is a state-of-the-art manufacturing site where sterile liquid ampoules, liquid vials, lyophilized vials, ready-to-use syringes and cartridges, as well as tablets, film-coated tablets, hard gelatin capsules, and sachet products are manufactured. Our products with advanced technology and high-quality standards are offered to markets including Türkiye, Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Philippines, and Albania.

40 Million Units/Year (Sterile)

In the sterile manufacturing area, liquid ampoules, liquid vials, lyophilized vials, ready-to-use syringes, and cartridges are produced.

20 Million Units/Year (Non–sterile)

In the non–sterile manufacturing area, tablets, film-coated tablets, hard gelatin capsules, and sachets are produced.

R&D

Aiming to be a significant global player in the pharmaceutical industry, GEN makes bold R&D investments and continues its unique drug development activities with great dedication and a robust infrastructure across two different R&D centers.

The GEN R&D Center is located within the Manufacturing Facility in the ASO 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. With its 1,200 m² laboratory space, competent researcher infrastructure, and well-equipped facilities, it was approved as an R&D center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye in 2019. The center continues its product development activities in accordance with global standards.

Elixir Pharmaceutical Research and Development Inc., established in 2014 as a pharmaceutical research and development company, is equipped with high-tech laboratories, a scientific infrastructure, and innovative thinking. Located within Hacettepe University Beytepe Technopolis, Elixir became part of GEN in 2019, contributing its developed products to GEN’s R&D efforts

GEN R&D Center

The GEN R&D Center, consisting of two laboratories—Formulation and Analytical Development—develops pharmaceutical dosage forms using both conventional and modern manufacturing methods, in accordance with reliability, quality, and efficacy parameters. With a vision of being bold and innovative, the GEN R&D Center aims to undertake projects focused on providing solutions for rare diseases and improving patient compliance.

Expert Researcher Team

The GEN R&D research team is composed of experts who have completed their education in various disciplines, including pharmacy, chemical engineering, chemistry, biomedical engineering, and molecular biology. With its multidisciplinary perspective, the team continues its activities to address unmet healthcare needs in accordance with international guidelines. Our research team consists of highly qualified researchers who have completed or are pursuing their master’s and doctoral studies through collaborations with leading universities in our country.
